Conversation first
SproutLingo starts the moment, supports the next turn, and then makes room for the people having the conversation.

The family behind SproutLingo
SproutLingo began in my own family. I’m a San Francisco-born mom of four and the daughter of immigrants from Guangzhou. My Cantonese became less comfortable over time, and I wanted my children to speak it with their grandparents.
I realized we did not need to become teacher and students. We could learn, relearn, and have more conversations together.
SproutLingo grew from that practical family need into a mission for other heritage families.
Why it matters
Cantonese carries humor, memories, family stories, and ways of understanding one another. Using it together keeps the language connected to everyday family life.
Small, repeatable conversations can become a lasting habit.
